Technology & software localization
Interfaces, apps, product documentation, and help content that fit the way people use your product.
Boring Translations helps global teams manage translation, localization, and language operations with consistency, control, and human judgment where it matters.
The challenge grows with every file, release, market, and reviewer. Approved terminology, tone, and quality need to stay consistent through all of it.
Interfaces, apps, product documentation, and help content that fit the way people use your product.
Websites, knowledge bases, training materials, and internal content that keep changing.
Careful translation and review of contracts, policies, disclosures, and corporate standards.
Brand messages, product stories, and campaigns shaped for the people you want to reach.
Review of human translation, machine translation, and AI output for meaning, consistency, and context.
Terminology, translation memories, and style guides that carry approved decisions into future work.
As volume grows, we help keep terminology, versions, reviewer feedback, and quality checks connected across teams and releases.
AI can help with speed, scale, and repetitive tasks. People bring context, resolve ambiguity, and catch language that sounds right but gets the meaning wrong.
We agree on the role of AI around your content, quality expectations, and tool restrictions before work begins.
Define the content, audience, markets, formats, timing, and risks.
Bring together approved translations, terminology, style rules, and reference material.
Choose the translation, technology, editing, and review steps the content needs.
Check meaning, terminology, numbers, tags, formatting, and consistency in context.
Apply approved terminology, reviewer feedback, and language decisions to the next release.
We do not publish client names. We can still show you the content we have handled, the problems that came with it, and what mattered most.
Service documentation, marketing pages and professional-application guides belong to the same product ecosystem, yet they ask opposite things of language: one cannot survive a second reading, the other has to work as a line of Chinese on its own.
Service and repair documentation, website copy, professional application user guides, terminology development and maintenance, in-context review.
A repair manual is not correct just because it reads correctly. Someone on our side has worked as a repair technician inside an authorized service operation, and we walk the procedures from the translated text to confirm that a person following it can actually take the device apart and put it back together. The website side is the opposite problem: a tagline built on wordplay can be rendered word for word with no grammatical error at all and still lose the thing it was written to do. Those lines have to be rewritten, not translated.
Interface text in an enterprise system never stands alone. The same button name appears in operating instructions, in system messages and in training material. If one of them drifts, the user cannot find the function.
ERP interface strings, operating and configuration guides, training material, terminology and action-verb consistency, translator onboarding, and review against the live screens before release.
Interface text cannot be written from the translator's own reading of it; it has to be checked against the running system. The easiest thing to miss is a UI string sitting inside a sentence — a label that must match the product exactly, not a phrase to be translated afresh. Training material depends on this entirely: a learner following the steps stops the moment a name in the courseware does not match the name on screen. To read the system properly, our people took the vendor's foundation and SQL training courses.
Inside one brand: investor information and financial reporting where every word is load-bearing, healthcare logistics bound by regulation, customs-clearance screens that are interface text, and brand stories that have to read like one person writing for another. Four registers, one voice.
Investor information and financial reporting, healthcare logistics content, customs-clearance system interfaces, brand and community stories, and the industry terminology underneath all of it.
The difficulty in an account like this is not any single document. It is that the brand cannot change personality when the document type changes. A financial filing must leave no room for interpretation; a community story must not read like an earnings call — and both have to sound like the same company.

Start with our English and Traditional Chinese pages. They share a structure and a purpose, with copy written for the people reading each version.
AI and language technology can support production. Every published language version must be reviewed by a qualified human language professional.
